Salvador Dalí Wood Engraving "Hell Canto 3"
Item Details
A wood engraving after a watercolor from very well-listed Spanish Surrealist Salvador Dalí’s (1904 – 1989) highly-famed series Divine Comedy, titled Hell Canto 3. The print depicts nubby muscular nude man rowing a small boat, printed in pale shades of gray, brown, and red. The print is signed in-plate to the lower center margin in red. The print is double-matted in brown and white and is presented behind glass in a rustic-style wooden frame with dark brown painted finish. A hanging wire is attached to the verso for hanging. Included in the Catalogue Raisonné, “The Official Catalog of the Graphic Works of Salvador Dali” by Albert Field, catalogue page 191.
