Royal Doulton Balloon Figurines

A collection of Royal Doulton balloon figurines. The Balloon Man and The Old Balloon Seller were designed by famous Royal Doulton designer Leslie Harradine. The Balloon Man features a seated elderly gentleman holding a group of multi-colored balloons with a red bag. Piece is marked to the underside with the Royal Doulton mark with H. N. 1954 and the decorator’s mark of ‘BB’. The Old Balloon Seller is of an elderly lady, also seated. She is wearing a teal cape, red shirt, black bow and white apron. She is holding a bunch of multicolored balloons and has a basket with flowers peeping out from underneath the yellow cover. The base is marked with the Royal Doulton mark and H. N. 1315. There is an illegible decorators cipher to the base also. The Balloon Girl is of later vintage and features a seated young lady with a blue gray cape with red trim, a red scarf and yellow blouse. She is holding a group of multicolored balloons. This piece is marked to the base with the Royal Doulton mark and H. N. 2818.
