A Mid Century Modern DAX shell chair by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller with invoice. The chair features a molded fiberglass seat covered by a fitted, red-orange pad. It rises on black metal, tubular legs with rubber shock mounts and circular foot glides. The underside retains a pair of orange labels marked ‘Designed By Charles Eames Herman Miller Zeeland Michigan Shipped From Venice California’.

Provenance: The chair comes with the original invoice from the Herman Miller Furniture Company dated ‘6/9/53’.
