Antique Chinese Jiaqing Mark and Period Famille Rose Vase

Item Details

An antique Chinese famille rose vase. The vase sits on a wooden stand. The vase has features several well painted figures amongst swirling clouds on a background of stylized waves, possibly representing a celestial realm. the figures are delicately rendered in vibrant rose, cerulean, and marigold enamels. The underside is glazed in a light turquoise glaze and features a hand-painted Jiaqing reign mark (大清嘉慶年製 Da Qing Jiaqing nian zhi). The piece likely dates from the Jiaqing period (1796-1820) or the early Daoguang period (1821-1850).
