A Tony Carter shoe teapot. This novelty item depicts shoe boxes made into the style of a yellow and black teapot with handle and spout. The lid is marked with a tongue-in-cheek store sign that reads ’Emelda’s Shoes – New York-Paris-Manilla’ and shoe models and boxes make up the body. Designer shoes represented and purposely misspelled are ‘Guchi’, ‘Channel’, and ‘Ferrogamo’. The piece is marked underneath with gold tone handwriting ‘Tony Carter – Made In England 2258/99’. Another mark is a gold tone stamp that reads ‘The Collector’s Teapot Collection – Signed & Numbered Limited Edition’.
