Chinoiserie Hand-Painted Dresser

A vintage chinoiserie hand-painted dresser. This rectangular top piece features a mahogany and burl veneer with brass tone corner hardware over two central cabinet doors opening to four drawers flanked by three dovetail constructed drawers with a scalloped apron terminating on ogee bracket feet. The drawers feature butterfly shaped plates and bail handles. The dresser is hand-painted with an Asian inspired mural of roses, birds, and trees in a palette of blue, green, and gilt throughout. There are no visible maker’s marks or labels to this piece. This item does not include the smaller photographed piece.
