Item Details

A gilt and gesso oval-shaped museum frame, created circa 1850s. With a deep sanded cove, the frame features floral ornaments along the top, bottom, and sides. They are connected with a tree branch running ornament, decorated with terminal buds. Along the back edge is a delicate diaper diamond pattern. No marks to the verso.

- missing areas of gesso; cracks to gesso.
