A 1971 offset lithographic reproduction after the original 1970 painting by well-listed athletic genre painter LeRoy Neiman (New York/Minnesota; 1921 – 2012), titled Johnny Bench. This baseball-themed image depicts the Hall-of-Fame catcher and key member of the legend-status Big Red Machine (the 1970s Cincinnati Reds baseball team), moments after catching the ball and before throwing it back. Artist signature is printed and dated in plate to the lower left. This print is mounted behind non-glare glass in a beveled wood frame with a natural stained finish. A gilt foil Closson’s Gallery sticker is attached to the verso.
