A hand-painted Nippon decorative urn. This vintage piece done in the Art Nouveau style features a gilt rim of oak leaves, gilt handles and base. Fruit and flower clusters and gold tone painted lined panels cover the body. The object is marked underneath with the green stamp of a wreath circling an ‘M’ (Morimura) and ‘Nippon’.
