An engraving by listed artist Timothy Cole (1852 – 1931) after William Beechey’s Brother and Sister. This print depicts Beechey’s painting in a monochromatic color scheme, as a brother and sister dressed in circa 19th century clothing pose against a rolling landscape with their dog. In plate signatures and a date (1898) are found to the lower corners of the composition, with a graphite signature and title to the margins. - glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; frame is worn throughout; tear along top of paper backing.
