Item Details

A set of circa 1974 limited edition 14K yellow gold medallions and necklaces by James Hutchinson exclusively for Jewelmasters, Inc. These pieces are part of a limited edition run of 1500 medallions that were sculpted by artist James Hutchinson, who lived with the Seminoles and studied Native American art for many years. Each medallion has a hinged bail, and depicts a prominent historical Native American figure with a satin finish to his face, and high polish accents. The medallions include Sauk Chief, Black Hawk; Cheyenne Medicine Man, Wolf Robe; Hunkapa Sioux Medicine Man, Sitting Bull; Seminole War Hero, Osceola; and Chiricahua Apache War Chief, Geronimo. Each medallion is stamped with an idividual number, and marked with a hand-engraved signature from the artist. The necklaces feature highly polished, textured arrowhead-shaped links with sturdy, foldover clasps. Also included are original accompanying informational papers and a storage box.
