A signed limited edition 2016 serigraph on Speckletone paper by well-listed and world-renowned American street artist Shepard Fairey (born 1970), titled Paint it Black. This spoof on the Rolling Stones’ song features an image of a hand holding a paintbrush dripping in black oil, next to a can of oil that reads, ‘Cover It All Oil-Based Policy / BLACK / Indoor/Outdoor / Hazardous / Worldwide’. Printed text to the top of the print reads, ‘I see the green Earth and I want to PAINT IT BLACK’. A PCP blind stamp is embossed to the lower left margin. This print is numbered 147 in an edition of 300, signed and dated by the artist in pencil to the lower margin; mounted under black mat, behind museum glass in a matte black composite frame.
