An offset lithograph after a hanging scroll painting titled Shakkyō: The Lion Dance (石橋図) by Katsukawa Shunshō (勝川春章, 1726-1792). The print reproduces the original painting’s signature ‘Katsu Shunshō ga’ (勝春章画). Shakkyō is the last performance during a Noh theater program and features a lion dance (shishimai). The piece features the dynamic performer, mid-dance, with wild, red hair and dramatic clothing. Presented in a wood composite frame with neutral matting behind glass.
