Late Victorian Framed Embroidery of Daisy Arrangement
Item Details
A late Victorian framed embroidery by an anonymous artist. On a ground of woven fabric with long stitches, this depicts an arrangement of daisies within an arching basket. A tied ribbon adorns the tall handle. It is unsigned. This work is presented within a gold tone wood and gesso frame wired for hanging.
Condition
- to fair; edge and corner wear; large chunks of frame missing; holes and water damage to paper backing.
