Offset Lithograph after Charley Harper's "Cardinal Courtship"
Item Details
An offset lithograph reproduction featuring imagery from well-listed Cincinnati geometric minimalist wildlife artist Charley Harper’s (1922 – 2007) illustration Cardinal Courtship. The print depicts a male and female cardinal holding a sunflower seed between their beaks as a splash of beige and white birdseed fill the background. The two are suspended above a series of burgundy stripes. The print is unsigned. It is matted in white and presented behind glass in a black composite frame with a hanging wire attached to the verso. A Certificate of Authenticity from the Estate of Charley Harper is attached to the verso, signed by Harper’s son Brett.
