Item Details
A signed limited edition serigraph by well-listed Cincinnati artist Edie Harper (1922-2010), titled Cat and House, produced in 1985. It is housed in its original folio from Frame House Gallery, under a protective cover glassine sheet, accompanied by original certificate of authenticity from Frame House Gallery, as well as original informational sheet and poem by Harper. Edie Harper described herself as a “Jill of all trades trying to master one” since she had been successful in many areas of art including photography, wood sculpture, weaving, and jewelry design, as well as painting and printmaking. Her husband, well-known artist and illustrator Charley Harper, called her “the thinking man’s Bible illustrator.” Edie’s work has been exhibited at the Cincinnati Art Museum, Andover Art Museum, and the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati.
