Item Details
An original oil painting on board by well-listed Belgian artist Max Chotiau (1881 – 1968). The 1953 painting depicts a loose, painterly rendition of a canal in Bruges, Belgium, completed in soft neutral tones with piles of bright snow dotting the scene. The painting is signed in brown to the lower right. It is dated and labeled as Bruges on a tag to the verso. It is presented in a wooden frame with dark brown finish and a hanging wire.
