A set of two framed pieces of art, both depicting male subjects. Featured is a circa 1972 drawing on cream paper titled Man in a Box. The image depicts a nude male figure seated inside a small enclosure. The drawing is signed in graphite to the lower right with a signature that appears to read ‘Garth ’72’. It is additionally titled in graphite to the lower left. The piece is double matted in blue and presented under acrylic in a black wooden frame with hanging wire affixed to the verso. Also featured is an offset lithograph after a colorful drawing of a male portrait. The image is signed in plate and noted ‘NY, 2016’ to the lower right. The print is matted in black and white and presented under acrylic in a black frame with hanging wire affixed to the verso.

Condition

- scratching and wear to finish of both frames; items would benefit from cleaning; foxing and discoloration to paper of “Man in a Box”; glass of print is loose inside frame; tears to paper backing of “Man in a Box”.
