A mixed media collage on canvas titled The Simple Explanation by Gregg Harper. The materials used in this composition include ink, paper, acetate, metal brads, and paint. The work depicts paper cutouts of upraised hands against a background of printed and handwritten phrases and torn map pieces set on a red surface. In the lower right corner, there is a line drawing in yellow of a kneeling man with his hands reaching upwards. The work is signed, dated 2015, and titled in black ink on the stretched polychrome canvas verso. The item is not framed. An identifying tag is taped to the verso.
