An original mixed media collage on paper titled Harvest by Gregg Harper. This surrealistic style work depicts a rose stem arising from an eyeball. Red tear-shaped drops made of newspaper cuttings fall from the eye. The work is presented behind white matting behind acrylic glass in a black composite wood frame and is wired ready to hang. A label attached to the verso is marked ‘Harvest – Gregg Harper – Acrylic, Aquarelle, Newspaper – On Arches Paper – 2016’. Harper’s biography states that in 1974 he was at the ‘Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center, with Ann Wilson – Artist-in-Residence: Participated in performance art piece based upon the writings of Henry David Thoreau.’ To find out about this artist, please see the additional information below.
