A photo-acetate collage on paper titled …a walking shadow…a poor player by Gregg Harper. This mixed media work depicts the back of a person’s head superimposed on colorful skeins of yarn. In the background can be seen two cottages overlooking the sea. The piece is presented behind white matting behind UV glass in a black frame and wired ready to hang. There are also three metal brackets for hanging. A 2014 article about the artist and a gallery show in New Bedford, MA, with a picture of one of his assemblages, is adhered to the paper backing on the verso. A handwritten note attached to this work is marked with the artist’s name, title, genre, and date of 2013. Gregg Harper exhibited at Cincinnati’s Contemporary Arts Center in 1974. - discoloration and punctures throughout backing paper; backing paper is peeling up from bottom left corner; one pin holds the collage to the board.
