1908 Gourdel Vales & Co. Sterling Silver Frame

Item Details

A Gourdel Vales & Co. sterling silver frame. This frame features repoussé foliage designs around the edges with a quote from the William Shakespeare play Hamlet across the top that reads ’There’s Rosemary, That’s for Remembrance’. The bottom right is stamped ‘G.V. & Co.’ with the Birmington sterling hallmarks, which date this piece to 1908. The bottom left is stamped ‘No 453050’. The frame rests on a wooden backing with a display rest.

- surface scratches and tarnish throughout; wear to backing.
