A large collection of china by Bavarian firm Schirnding Porzellan. The 165 items features delicate flowers on the white ground with hand applied gilt rims. This set includes two platters, two serving bowls, fifteen dinner plates, nine soup bowls, twenty-eight dessert plates, thirty saucers, twenty-three tea cups, twenty-five salad plates, twenty-five dessert bowls, three creamers, and three sugar bowls. Each item is marked underneath with a green ‘Schirnding Qualitäts Porzellan’ mark, and an over stamp in gold that reads ‘Lakewood Made expressly for Gimbel Brothers in US Zone Germany’.
