A limited edition J.J. Barnum ‘Saving The Colors’ pewter statue. This sculpture depicts three confederate soldiers of the Civil War attempting to protect their flag during battle. The pewter area of the piece is without color, except for the subtle blue and red accents added to the flag. The pewter sculpture is mounted to a beveled wood stand, signed in gold tone ink ‘For Fran Barnum by Don Polland 10-17-87.’ The underside of this piece is covered with a felt-like cloth material for surface protection. The base of the pewter sculpture is marked © 1987 J.J. Barnum, 300/2500.’
