A pewter sculpture by artist Don Polland (1932-2003). The sculpture is made from a pewter structure and depicts two Civil War soldiers, with several gold tone accents, titled as The Rescue. The sculpture is marked with ‘Fine Pewter’, ‘Chilmark’, and is a limited edition numbered 300 of 2500. It rests on a wooden base and features Polland’s signature and a date of October 17th, 1987.
