"A Close Play at Home Plate" and Other Early 20th Century Baseball Cards

A group of three early twentieth century baseball cards. This grouping features a 1912 T202 Hassan Cork Tip Cigarettes ‘A Close Play at Home Plate’ triple folder card with Frank LaPorte and RJ Wallace. The card shows two factory creases between the color player portraits and black and white center image; color portions have a chromolithograph-like irregular dot matrix.
The group also includes a 1911 T201 Mecca Cigarettes double folder card with George Wiltse and Fred Merkle of the New York Nationals, with a factory crease line between the color picture and black and white statistics on the back; it has bevel cut corners at the bottom and true corners at the top.
Includes also a 1912 T207 Recruit Little Cigars Hugh Bradley of the Red Sox card, with a crackled glossy finish to the front of the card and bevel cut corners.
