This print on paperboard depicts a man in circa 19th century clothing approaching a woman in a velvet cream dress sitting in a relaxed pose, staring with an inquisitive look. The print is presented in a black wooden frame with affixed hanging wire and an artist tag found to the verso.

- top left corner of frame is splitting from itself; image is loose from frame to top corners; backing paper is toning; lower right corner is water damaged.
