A Chinese Ming dynasty (1368-1644) Zhangzhou ware dish. Hand painted with translucent, spontaneously executed blue designs on a neutral field. Unmarked to the underside. A central ring is unglazed. Zhangzhou ware, also known as Swatow ware, are Chinese produced ceramics intended for export to southeast Asia.
