Antique Chinese Hand-Carved Water Buffalo Horn Libation Cup

A stunning hand-carved antique archaic-style carved water buffalo horn Chinese libation cup. The cup has a semi-translucent burnt orange surface. Two dragons are carved in high relief to one side, and the cup has a dragon’s head with a small hanging ring on the other side. Cups such as this were used in ancient Chinese rituals as an offering to a deity or ancestor in memory of those who have died. This piece is unmarked.
