Vintage Gilt and Gesso English Style Frame
Item Details
A vintage gilt and gesso English style frame. This frame features a ripple molding and a low-relief acanthus and bead molding throughout the interior lining. Various handwritten numeric inscriptions are present to the verso along with a stamp that reads ‘H.P.F.Co.’
Condition
- lots of chipping throughout gilt of lower border; chipped gesso at corners; chipping throughout gilt on all sides; dirt and residue collected in corner crevices; small stains throughout frame; small cracks throughout interior lining; scratches and small dents throughout; stains throughout verso.
