“Adventure Comics” Featuring Starro

A collection of Bronze Age D.C comics from the Adventure Comics series. This collection contains thirty-one comics with a standout issue being 451 which features an appearance by the villain Starro who was the first villain to face the Justice League. Other issues of notice are issues 437 (February 1975) which is the fist issue to have a 25 cent cover price and issue 475 (September 1980) which was the first to have a 50 cent cover price. This collection features issues 437 – 461 (February 1975 – January 1979), 464 (July 1979), 466 (November 1979) and 475-478 (September – December 1980). The comics are held in protective plastic sleeves with some being further supported with cardboard backings.

Condition

- to fair; various degrees of light to heavy wear to the spines and covers of the comics; color cracks on issues 437, 444 and 454; tape and writing on issue 452; tape on 448; issue 443 has a bent bottom left corner; pen marks on 452 and 471; various degrees of discoloration on the covers of the comics; some page yellowing on some comics; spotting on the back of some comics; comics are protected from further wear by being held in plastic sleeves with a few being additionally supported with cardboard backing.
