A handwoven Afshari wool area rug. The piece features a lattice pattern of stylized boteh with stylized rectilinear figures inside of each, in a palette of deep red, cream, and orange on a deep indigo blue field. The field is populated with animal figures and floral medallions with a compound resolved border along the exterior. The border features an arrow and floral pattern throughout in a complementary palette with a wool fringe to either end. The rug is labeled to the reverse.
