A selection of Japanese china, lusterware and lacquerware. Featured are seventeen pieces of Japanese tableware including Meito China and Diamond China. Included are two serving bowls, two small vases, three saucers, three coupe bowls, two coffee mugs marked ‘Japan’ to the underside, four Diamond China teacups and one red floral-motif lacquer tray. Featured is an orange lusterware vase with painted white floral accents marked ‘Made in Japan’ to the underside, as well as a Satsuma style vase with a painted figural image and raised moriage gold tone embellishments; it is marked ‘Made in Japan, 2’ to the underside. The Meito bowls are marked ‘Meito China, Made in Japan, Hand Painted’ to the underside, while the saucers are marked ‘Ivory China, Meito China, Hand Painted, Made in Occupied Japan’ to the underside.
Condition
- to Fair; some minor cracking and wear to paint; would benefit from cleaning; lacquerware tray still has original packaging; crack to rim of lusterware vase.
