A hand-knotted Indian Jaipur area rug. This wool rug features an eight-sided star medallion with floral pendants that reach into a red field. It has corner spandrels with a boteh design and a primary border with repeating lozenges. The rug offers a palette of black, gold, cream, burgundy, and red. It is finished with overcast edges and a natural warp fringe. The rug has a tag to the verso.
