A hand-knotted Pakistani area rug. This wool rug features three rectilinear star medallions, each seeded with a small eight-pointed star at its center; the medallions rest on a camel-colored field populated with guls, rosettes, and other motifs. Amid a universal palette of deep midnight blue, camel, brown, and cream, the rug has four unresolved borders. It has double overcast edges, finishing with short kilim skirts and ivory wool warp fringe. No maker’s mark is present.
