An abstract oil painting on board titled 14 by listed abstract artist Henry Kallem (New York; 1912 – 1985). This piece depicts two gradients transitioning from blue to white along the top. The lower portion of the composition is rendered with three solid triangles in red and blue.This piece is signed and titled to the verso in black ink. Presented unframed.
Henry Kallem was born in Pennsylvania. He began his artistic studies with his father, Morris Kallem, who was a portrait painter. Kallem received formal training at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and the National Academy of Design in New York City. He exhibited at the 1939 New York World’s Fair and won first prize at the Pepsi Cola Exhibition of 1947. Kallem’s work can be found in museums and galleries such as the Corcoran Galleries in Washington as well as private collections.

- light craquelure is present; due to exposure to humidity piece has a small amount of corrugated cardboard attached to the center portion of the composition.
