Large Handwoven Carved Chinese Area Rug

A large handwoven and carved Chinese area rug. The rug features a beautiful asymmetrical floral medallion to the center with a large peacock surrounded by large flower blossoms and birds in flight in deep peach, teal, pale blue, and ivory on a pale blue field. The field is surrounded by garlands of flowers in the field colors. The rug s has been deeply carved and sculpted for a dimensional effect. It has cotton fringe to either end, and is unmarked.
