A collection of mid 19th-century hand colored prints on paper. This ten piece collection includes children and animal themed prints some signed in plate ‘Weir’ or ‘WMS’ to the lower corners. Each print is mounted under a double layer of black and white matting and sealed inside of a plastic sleeve. Each sleeve features a decal with a handwritten note reading ‘Original c. 1850’s Invoice # CP Children Print Hand Colored’.
Condition
- images are toning; boy with dog print has black smudge at top right corner and black smudges on verso of matting; “Picture Without Words” print has water spots at top right corner.
