An offset lithograph on canvas after an original 1955 painting titled Tête de Clown by French Expressionist Bernard Buffet (1928- 1999). This depicts a quarter-length portrait of a man dressed as a clown, against a mottled blue background. It is signed ‘Bernard 55 Buffet’ within the plate to the left. This work is presented unframed, mounted to a wooden stretcher.

Condition

- canvas is peeling around staples, stretcher frame is beginning to separate at corners, verso of canvas has foxing.
