A collection of hand-colored engravings The Reading of a Will and The Rent Day by David Wilke R.A. Pinxit (1785-1841) and sculpt by John Madden. The first figural work depicts a group of individuals gathered around an attorney for the reading of a will. The piece is signed in plate to the lower left. The other figural work depicts a group of individuals gathered in a room to pay their rent. The piece is signed in plate to the lower left. Both engravings are presented behind off white mats behind glass in silver tone frames.

Condition

- plate marks visible on each print; the bottom portion of the frame coming loose from “The Rent Day” print. Verso: the bottom center portion of foam backing board has a melted spot. the frame of “The Reading of a Will” print has been re-glued on each corner, the adhesive residue is seeping up out of each crack. top left corner is coming loose.
