Erté Limited Edition Embossed Serigraph "Wisdom"
Item Details
A limited edition embossed serigraph with foil embellishments on paper titled Wisdom from the Celestial Virtues suite by well-listed artist Romain “Erté” de Tirtoff (Russian, French; 1892-1990), produced in 1985. The work depicts a woman wearing a flowing Grecian style dress. The dress is cinched at her waist with a snake as she holds a bird in her arms. Halo like rays and dots radiate from around her head. This print is number 2 out of an edition of 35 HC (Hors Commerce Proof). This piece is signed in graphite to the lower right and numbered to the lower left of the print image. Two embossed stamps from the paper manufacture are present to the lower left corner. Presented as an unframed print on paper. For coordinating item in the series please view item 16NYC998-1257.
Condition
- some light damage is present along the bottom edge; tear in the paper is present along the left side; the upper left corner is creased and has a small tear.
