An original 2001 contemporary acrylic painting on board signed to the lower right by artist Mario. This radical composition combines a naïve manner of paint mixing and application with a distorted visual perspective to somehow create a grotesquely magical image, depicting a haunting red brick house and small blue shed situated on a glowing chartreuse lawn adorned with two dismal, sparkling trees. This enrapturing work is housed in a vintage beveled wood frame with cast rope border and a gold tone finish.
Condition
- finish of frame is chipped and damaged throughout, but compliments the aesthetic of the painting quite nicely.
