A sterling silver plate by the Gorham Manufacturing Company of Providence RI. Shape number 253, this features a stepped shallow center depression with a pierced latticework rim and a gadrooned edge. It is marked underneath ‘Gorham’ with the three pseudo hallmarks, ‘sterling’ and ‘253’. The approximate weight is 5.865 ozt.
