1970 Poster for Cincinnati Nature Center Designed by Charley Harper
Item Details
A vintage 1979 offset lithographic poster designed by well-listed Cincinnati wildlife artist and conservationist, Charley Harper (1922 – 2007), for the Cincinnati Nature Center. The image depicts a flurry of autumn leaves floating on the surface of a pond, revealing the fish, snakes, beavers, fossils, lizards, crawdads, frogs and more living in the aqueous ecosystem beneath. Above the surface, a bluejay fishes a small minnow from the water as a butterfly flutters by. This poster is mounted behind glass in a gold tone brushed metal frame.
