A vintage 1926 signed limited edition etching on paper by Scottish artist David Robertson (born 1885), titled Chiaggia, Venice. The image depicts a stunning view looking down the picturesque canal, teeming with gondolas and surrounded by the bustling Italian city and its dwellers. Artist signature and date are printed in plate to the lower left. The print is numbered 65 in an edition of 75 and signed in pencil by the artist to the lower margin, mounted under aged white mat, behind glass in a simple wood frame with a black finish. Artist biography is attached to the verso of this piece.
Condition
- discoloration across print and mat. Finish of frame is notably worn with abrasions and scratches.
