A collection of five late-nineteenth-century editions of nautical novels by Captain Frederick Marryat. This collection includes five books published by D. Appleton and Company of New York: Peter Simple (1887), The Pacha of Many Tales (1888), The Phantom Ship (1889), Japhet, in Search of a Father (1890) and Jacob Faithful; or, The Adventures of a Waterman (1890). The five books are matching half-leatherbound hardcovers with marbled boards and endpapers.
