Vintage Indiana University Zoology Department Dissection Kit

Item Details

A vintage dissection kit from the Indiana University Zoology Department. The kit includes a scalpel, pipet, needle sharp, needle blunt, and several packages of nylon-tipped insect pins. The items are all housed in a black leather pouch with gilt lettering reading ‘Indiana University – Zoology Department’ stamped to its face. A small paper label is also attached to the face, likely originally giving the name of the kit’s owner. It is illegible except for the last name ‘Kent.’

Condition

- light accretion across leather pouch. Paper label is very yellowed and worn. Remnants of embalming fluid can be seen on the pipet.
