A late 19th Century wooden The Race-War Puzzle Between Gold & Silver manufactured by the Gold & Silver Puzzle Co. of New York. This rectangular wooden piece, with chamfered corners, features two intersecting carved ring tracks, one marked ‘Western Silver circuit’ and the other ‘Easter Gold circuit’. It is a sliding coin game, designed to be a reflection on the gold vs. silver standard political debate at the time.

- some overall wear including fading to the paint and surface scratches.
