Henri Breval Oil Painting on Canvas

An oil painting by genre artist, Henri Breval (19th century). The work depicts an image of a seated woman in blue and white and a cat at her side. This original oil painting on canvas is presented in a gold tone wood frame with scrolling foliates. They piece is hand-signed ‘H de Breval’ to the lower right. A hanging wire is included to the verso.

Condition

- to Poor. Various parts of the frame are broken, some of the broken pieces are included in a bag. Minor craquelure through the surface. Some loss of paint to the lower portion. Tap and tacks have been applied to the verso of the frame.
