Six Vintage Jumbo Peanut Butter Jars
Item Details
A collection of six glass jars for Jumbo Peanut Butter, circa 1930s. The jars were manufactured by Cincinnati’s prolific Frank’s Tea & Spice Co. None of the jars have lids. The jars have a raised stripe surface texture with a portrait of an elephant and the brand’s name; some feature an ingredient list. Slogans such as "ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTE FOR JUMBO" and "ALL THE CHILDREN LIKE JUMBO" are raised on the base of three of the jars.
